Welcome to Biziker, the only website set up to create a community for business people who wish to develop a personal contacts network whilst travelling on business. All business travellers are eligible to join Biziker, the only prerequisite is that members are keen to build a personal contacts business network.
Security is a major concern for us at Biziker, both in terms of the information you provide us with and also in terms of your personal and professional security when you take part. The site has been set up strictly for business purposes and our values state we expect people to operate according to the User Agreement.
In short, we take security of information very seriously and comply with French and European (EU) standards.
Welcome to Biziker! Enjoy Biz-hiking.
No two people are the same and everyone has something to bring to a community. When you join Biziker, you join an inclusive network that embraces diversity. That means celebrating differences; a diverse community will be all the richer for the people in it.
For Biziker to be truly diverse, all members are invited to contribute and bring their own experiences for a wider shared experience. We ask Biziker members to comply with our rules which are outlined in our user terms and conditions. We do encourage members to read these carefully, they contain important information.
As a minimum, we expect members to show each other:
- respect and tolerance
- politeness and tact
- friendliness and decency.
Biziker does not accept the following in any way, shape or form:
- disrespectful, racist, sexist or insulting behaviour
- any kind of verbal, physical or sexual harassment
- any attack to other members or their belongings
- any financial request or approaches
- any attempt to get confidential information on members or their business activities.
If, as a member, you are faced with any such behaviour, you are invited to report it to Biziker using the contact form or the report inappropriate behaviour link that is reached on that member's page.
Biziker reserves the right to temporarily suspend or definitively exclude members who do not respect the Biziker values, according to Clause 4 of the General Terms and Conditions of Use.
When you give out information about your trips and your business, you want to be sure that the right people are going to see it. At Biziker, we have developed a community that makes it easy for you to network but at the same time we take steps to ensure that we protect your information.
Network and web application security
We use tools which restrict people's access to your calendar and all personal data is archived in a secure environment.
We use a secure server following SSL protocol. SSL protocol encrypts your information before sending it over the internet and guarantees total confidentiality in the communication between your computer and our server. Access to our database, and to your shared information is restricted to the members that you identify, and we never forward data to third parties.
Personal information used to access databases is also encrypted, in order to ensure the best protection against hacking and stealing of information.
Keep your identity safe!
Personal information stored locally on your own computer is also encrypted to prevent any malicious abuse. We strongly recommend that you do not save your personal login on shared or public computers and to always follow the logout process when you finish a Biziker session.
It is worth noting that most identity theft originates from information found on public or shared computers.
Payment
When you sign up or confirm a pay-as-you-go transaction, you are directed to a secure payment server at a recognised bank, Biziker does not store any credit card details on its database.
As part of the Biziker terms and conditions, members and visitors to the site are required to use the information provided for personal and non-commercial purposes only.
You have control
As a Biziker member, you are responsible for your personal user name and password, you should never forward these on to third parties. You have control over the information you give out and it is your responsibility to be aware of who you share that information with.
We strongly recommend that only members you know sufficiently and trust should be authorised to see details of your travel plans.
New members are checked
We always approve all new members and will investigate potentially suspicious subscriptions. If there is any doubt, we will follow up and check the details.
Security at Biziker events
Security during events is also, of course, very important. We do not hold any events in areas which are less well-known, and the venues we choose are always recognised venues, in well known and safe areas. But at the same time, members should note it is their responsibility to take the necessary precautions when they take part in an event, to protect themselves and the interests of the company they work for.
If you have the feeling that someone is following you or your company, you should report it. Likewise, improper behaviour should be reported to the webmaster, either by the contact form, or by searching the member and clicking on report abuse.
Finally, if an membership is cancelled, all the related personal data is destroyed within a timeframe of 6 months.
